Dipterocarpus intricatus Dyer was introduced from Thailand and cultivated in Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanic Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1980. The mean annual growth of tree height is 0.62~ 0.72m and breast diameter is 0.69 ~ 1.28cm.  The flowering period is from middles-April to middle May. Fruit mature peried is from late-June to middle-July. The introduced trees have had normal flower and fertile seeds for 3 years. Seed moisture is 34. 7 % and seed germination rate is 96. 7 %. The annual dropleaf weight is 1.18 kg/m². No cold injury, serious disease and insect damage occure. It shows that D. intricatus can be introduced and cultivated successfully to Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China.
