Thirteen compounds were isolated from dry above-ground part of Scutellaria barbata D.Don and their structures were identified. These  compounds are p-hydroxybenzaldehyde (Ⅰ), p-coumaric acid(Ⅱ), hydroxyhydroquinone(Ⅲ), hispidulin(IV), 5,7,4′-trihydroxy-8-methoxyflavone (Ⅴ), apigenin(Ⅵ), luteolin(Ⅶ), apigenin-5-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(Ⅷ), scutellaric acid(Ⅸ), stigmasta-5,22-dien-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (Ⅹ), barbatin C(Ⅺ), β-sito-sterol(Ⅻ) and daucosterol (ⅩⅢ).Compound Ⅷ is isolated from Scutellaria L.for the first time, and compound Ⅲ and compound X are isolated from S. barbata for the first time.
