笔者根据全国各地采集的箬竹属(Indocalamus Nakai)标本,参阅国外有关标本和资料,对全世界箬竹属的地理分布作了考证,表明箬竹属仅分布于我国长江流域以南各省,其分布中心在四川东部,湖北西部,米仓山以南及长江上游,西南界到金佛山和贵州的赤水。

Specimens of Inducalamus Nakai were widely collected in China and the published classification of Indocalamus was revised. So far 27 species and 5 varieties have been defined to belong to Indocalomus. Those previously reported species of India, Malaysia, Philippines and Srilanka were determined that they do not belong to Inducalamus. Hence Inducalnmus is distributed only in the provinces of south of Yangtze river in China. The distribution center is on area in the east of Sichuan, west of Hubei, south of Micang mountain, the upper Yangtze river, south-west to Jinfo mountain of Sichuan and Chishui of Guizhou Province.
