Two fatty acids, four cournarins and one phytosterol were first isolated from the root of Angelica cartilaginomarginata (Makino) Nakai var. foliosa Yuan et Shan. Two fatty acids were identified as n-capric acid and lauric acid by means of GC , four coumarins were identified as bergapten, praeruptorin F , cartilaginomarginadin , pteryxin by means of PMR and one phytosterol was identified as β-sitosterol.
