Abstract

The essential oils of Mentha asiatica Boriss. growing wildly in China were investigated by means of GC-MS. Two chemotypes have been found, which were characterized by the high contribution of piperitone oxidepiperitenone
oxide and piperitone oxide-piperitenone oxide-puIegone-menthone.
