Abstract

Thirteen individual plants of Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni were obtained from the hybrides of 3 elite
cultivars (No .1 of Zhongshan, YS003 and YS004) by the natural and supplemental pollinations .Two elite individual plants SZ99004003 and SZ99004011 were selected by analyzing of HPLC and evaluation of the agronomic traits .The contents of total steviosides and R-A ( rebaudioside A) , and percentage of R-A in total steviosides in dry leaves of SZ99004003 are 16 .64 %, 13 .34 %and 80 .17 % respectively and these are19 .20 %, 12 .30 %and 64 .06 % respectively in SZ99004011 .
