Abstract

The leaf anato mic structures of Liriodendron plus crossing F1 (Liriodendron chinense (Hemsl .)Sarg. × L .tulipifera Linn.), minus cro ssing F1 and their parents are studies.The leaf blade structures of reciprocal cross hybrids manifest their parentsmiddle type, and mid rib shapes of reciprocal cross hybrids are similar to that of L .tulipifera Linn . Transverse section shape and vascular bundle arrangement of plus crossing hybrids petio lar middle part incline to its maternal plant and there are a lot of parenchymatous cells between vascular bundles′, transverse section shape of minus crossing hy brids petiolar middle par t is elliptical and its vascular bundle arrang ement tends to its maternal plant .The structures of petiolar basic part of reciprocal cross hybrids display middle sty le of their parents and their vascular tissue is more developed than that of parents.
