红豆杉属（Taxus L．）植物是提取抗癌新药紫杉醇（taxlol）的原料，在云南省有２种１变种，分布范围较广，但多散生，野生数量计有3540920株。近年来，红豆杉资源的开发利用研究进展较快，但资源的破坏和浪费严重，加之该植物生长缓慢，对生境的要求高，营造原料林困难，供求矛盾十分突出，为此提出了红豆杉资源的保护和可持续利用对策。

Taxus is the raw material for extraction taxol, a new anticancer drug . In Yunnan Province, there can be found 2 species and 1 variety, all together about 3 540 920 wild plants, which distribute over the wide areas but mostly scattered . In recent years, the exploitation and utilization research of this genus made rapid progress, but serious destruction and waste of the resource have occured , in addition to the slow growth of the plant , the high demand of its growing environment and the difficulty of planting material forest, the contradiction between supply and demand is very obviously . Therefore, the strategiesof the protection and sustainable utilization of Taxus resources are put forward .
