Abstract

The consumption of sucrose and inorganic elements in the basal media of suspension culture with the callus from buds of Panax quinquefolium Linn. was analysed. The results showed that after culturing a generation, the consumption rate of sucrose was 80%, that of macroelements was P>N>Fe>Mg>K>Ca, that of microelementswasMo>Cu>B>Co>Mn>Zn.
