A Study of tissue culture in vitro and plant reproduction of Platycodon grandiflorum A.DC .was carried out.The
results indicated that MS medium containing 6-BA 1.0 mg/ L and IAA 0.5 mg/L was the best for callus induction ;MS medium containing 6-BA 0.3 mg/ L and IAA 0 .1 mg/ L was suitable for crowd bud propagation;1/ 2 MS medium containing IAA 0.5 mg/L and ABT 0.1 mg/L is effective in inducing root with the ratio of 95 %, fast propagation of P .grandiflorum by tissue culture method could be established, which will lay down the foundation of the breeding and clone of excellent varieties of P .grandiflorum .
