Abstract

The analysis of fatty oil and polysaccharides in seeds from Coix puellarum Balansa , C .stenocarpa Balansa , C .lacryma-jobi L ., C .lacry ma-jobi L. var .maxima Makino , C. chinensis Tod. and C .chinensis Tod.var.
formosana (Ohwi) L. Liu showed that fatty oil contains composition of six fatty acids:palmic acid (9 .71% ~ 13
.
90%), palmitoleic acid (0 .18 %~ 0.56 %), stearic acid (1.46 %~ 1 .65 %), o leic acid (44.50 %~ 54.40 %),
linoleic
acid
(28 .49%~ 38.30 %)and linolenic acid (0.53 %~ 0 .99%)and content of poly saccharides is 2 .2 %~ 8.3%.
