Abstract

The contents o  nitrate, nitrite and vitamin C in leaves of Rorippa islandica ( Oed. ) Bord. , Ixeris chinensis ( Thunb. ) Nakai, Plantago depressa Willd. and Cirsium setosum ( Willd. ) MB. were deter mined. According to the investigated result, it indicated that the former three wild vegetables have good quality because o f higher content of VC and unharmful amount of nitrate or nitrite while C. setosum is not edible one for higher nitrate content.
